Governors School for Entrepreneurs (GSE)

The Governor's School for Entrepreneurs (GSE) will begin accepting applications for summer 2021 on Monday, November 16th. GSE brings teens together from around the state of Kentucky, immerses them in a creative space, and arms them with the tools they need to unleash their entrepreneurial spirits. While all participants gain vital entrepreneurial skills through the program to use as they enter the workplace or continue into higher education, 11 new businesses have already been launched by young entrepreneurs. Others have filed for multiple patents and developed new ideas and relationships that sow the seeds for more business formation. In addition, as a direct result of their participation In GSE, participants qualify for some $3 million in scholarship opportunities from Kentucky's universities and colleges.

GSE has arranged to host 7 virtual events on Hopin this fall to showcase the GSE experience and dive into the application process. See the related PDF document for links to register, and schedule below.

Welcome

 Hello,

I just wanted to take this time to introduce myself to you as the freshman counselor. Prior to being a counselor I have taught social studies at Marshall Co. High School the last 14 years and joined the counseling department over the summer.  I am excited to work with our freshman this year along with our CTE program at Marshall County Technical Center.  My office is on the social studies hallway in room 1306.  I look forward to assisting our students in reaching their goals in the classroom and any other endeavor they wish to pursue.

Sincerely,

EVAN MERRICK
